Playground at the West Shore Child, Youth and Family Centre
Our first local community project: a playground on Wale Road, funded by the Chili Cook-Off.
The Rotary Club of West Shore opened the playground it supported at the Queen Alexandra Foundation for Children's West Shore Child, Youth and Family Centre at 345 Wale Road in Colwood.
The club raised $5,000 toward the playground and the centre's youth area through its Chili Cook-Off and other fundraising events. It was our club's first local community project, and certainly not our last.
